My artistic style stems from an intense desire to return to an era where design and form were at its peak, that being the 1950's and 60's. Color was king and the ads and pop culture lent a truer meaning when viewing different techniques in art. Creating expression in a single piece lends more than just art, for myself it must also entail a sense of a story. Here, I've created, not just something new, but an amalgamation of style and form, using abstract and surrealism together with the look and feel of a certain coolness, resulting is my "Chair" series.
An accomplished and successful artist, John has been creating visuals that span several genres, from cartooning to political panels, and many variations of abstracts, fine art drawing and abstracts both in his youth and today where the impact of his talents can be seen to stir, amuse and shock. Emerging from an artistic background that resides in his family, John has taken to new forms of abstraction and continues to pull resources from inspiring masters such as Gustav Klimt and Matisse to Van Gogh and Salvador Dali, painting works on canvas, paper and board.
